Georgie freezes. He sees the envelope in his truck. He hasn't told her about his own classes yet. He was waiting for the right moment. But now, with her looking at him like that, the moment feels poisoned.

That night, the baby is finally asleep. Georgie comes home with fast food. Mandy hasn't eaten. She's sitting at the kitchen table, the brochure in front of her.
