Sheldon becomes fascinated with the physics of basketball after watching a game with his friends. He tries to apply the concepts of trajectory and angular momentum to improve his own game. Meanwhile, Missy tries to get out of doing her chores by pretending to be interested in Sheldon's experiments.

Sheldon becomes obsessed with understanding the perfect basketball shot and enlists the help of his friends, including Georgie and Leonard. As they conduct experiments, Sheldon becomes more and more fixated on finding the ideal shooting technique.
