Here’s an interesting, slightly nostalgic, and practical text about enabling Telnet on Windows. In an era of encrypted SSH, cloud terminals, and PowerShell remoting, typing telnet into a Windows command prompt feels like discovering a rotary phone in a smart home. Yet, buried deep inside every modern version of Windows—from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and Server 2022—lies a sleeping giant of networking history: the Telnet client. What Is Telnet, Really?
