"Rope will only delay the break," Elara said gently. "It won't fix it."
Elara didn't reach for the rope. Instead, she poured him a cup of tea. "Why do you need it so urgently?" she asked.
Leo paused. He remembered Elara. Instead of reaching for the lock, he asked, "Why does he sneak out?"
"But I asked for rope," Leo stammered.
