Our study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data. We conducted a survey of 1000 gamers who had downloaded the Subway Builder game crack, and analyzed online forums and discussion groups where gamers shared and discussed cracks. We also interviewed 5 game developers who had experience with game piracy.
