Ray — Septal Lines On Chest X

(also known as Kerley lines ) on a chest x-ray are thin, linear opacities caused by thickening of the interlobular septa (the connective tissue partitions between the secondary pulmonary lobules). They indicate interstitial edema or other processes affecting the interstitium.
