Realtek 8832au !full! (2025)
I spent 4 hours fighting with a no-name USB Wi-Fi dongle today. Device manager showed Realtek 8832AU , but no drivers worked out of the box on Ubuntu 24.04.

Do not use the default drivers. Use the aircrack-ng/rtl8812au repository. It supports the 8832 variant out of the box. realtek 8832au
✅ Install rtl88x2au driver via GitHub (link in bio). ✅ Windows: Uninstall the Microsoft driver. Download the "Cudy AC1300" driver instead.
Realtek chipsets ending in "AU" (8812AU, 8822AU, 8832AU) are notoriously bad at supporting newer kernels (6.5+). I spent 4 hours fighting with a no-name
Pro-tip: Disable "Allow the computer to turn off this device" in Power Management to stop random disconnects.
If you just bought a "USB 3.0 AC1300" Wi-Fi adapter and see "Realtek 8832AU" in your device manager, you are likely dealing with the driver family. Do not use the default drivers
