Make sure the website is open in a Chrome tab.

Open Chrome and go to the website you want to pin (e.g., https://mail.google.com ). Make sure the website is open in a Chrome tab

Click the lock icon (or “Not secure” / “View site information”) to the left of the website address in the address bar. then click Create shortcut…

Right‑click that icon on the taskbar and select Pin to taskbar .

Right‑click on the Chrome icon already on your taskbar (not the website itself).

Hover over Save and share , then click Create shortcut…
