Mac Mentor Touch !link! -

If you meant a different context (e.g., a specific software, academic theory, or internal tool), please clarify, and I will adjust accordingly. Abstract The transition from passive screen sharing to active, touch-based mentorship can significantly improve remote guidance, software training, and collaborative troubleshooting. This paper introduces Mac Mentor Touch , a conceptual framework and feature set enabling real-time touch gestures, annotations, and guided cursor control on macOS devices. By extending existing technologies such as Sidecar, Universal Control, and Screen Sharing, Mac Mentor Touch allows a mentor to draw, point, tap, and highlight directly on a mentee’s screen using an iPad or touch-enabled input. We discuss use cases in education, IT support, and creative workflows, evaluate technical feasibility, and propose a privacy-aware implementation. 1. Introduction Remote mentorship on macOS often relies on voice instructions or mouse highlighting, which can be ambiguous and inefficient. While iPadOS supports touch-based annotation via Apple Pencil, macOS lacks native touch input. Mac Mentor Touch bridges this gap by allowing a mentor’s touch gestures (e.g., tapping, circling, dragging) to be translated into visual overlays and simulated clicks on a mentee’s Mac.
