The documentary-within-a-documentary format feels messy at first, but the third act genuinely creeped me out. The clown mannequins? Still nightmare fuel. And that final shot? Unsettling as hell. hell house 2

It’s not as tight as the original, but if you treat it as an expansion of the lore (especially the hotel’s backstory), it works.
